All is not well with APC, says Amaechi

Transport Minister, Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has admitted the existence of crisis in the All Progressives Congress APC, after the wards and local Government Area, LGA, congresses.

Acknowledging the crisis, he described it as internal affairs and assured the party was working hard to resolve the issues, and expressed the APC will emerge stronger thereafter.

Amaechi declared yesterday at the St Vincent De Pour Catholic Church, Port Harcourt, during the Thanksgiving Service to celebrate his 53rd birthday

“Party crisis is an internal affair, and cuts across all political parties. It is not peculiar to the APC. After all, I suffered as a result of intra party crisis, while in PDP, to the extent of going on exile.”

“We’ll adopt internal party mechanism to resolve it and re-strategize for electoral victories In fact we are on a new beginning, thank God the leaders are very young”, he said.

We can’t afford to go back to the era of the old PDP. The hunger we suffer in the country today is as a result of the misrule of the PDP. We came and met empty treasury, and are working hard to better the lots of the common man.

On Governor Wike’s allegation that the Federal Government wanted to assassinate him (Wike) the transportation Minister treated it with a wave of hand, saying Governor Wike was his subordinate and like a son to him while he was the governor, therefore would not like to join issues with him.

On his goodwill message to the state and Nigerians, he preached hard work, submitting that faith without work is useless.

He thanked God for making him Speaker Rivers State House of Assembly at 34, governor at 42 and minster at 50
