We told Nigerians that GEJ was a lesser evil, but our warning fell on deaf ears

News making round the social media has it that Senator Dino Melaye has been abducted by unknown gunmen and his whereabout is yet to be ascertained. They irony of this whole episode is that Dino was at the forefront of the conspiracy that "jegged" Buhari into the Aso Rock villa.

This reminds me of the story of a woman and the burning snake she saved, nurtured and cared for but got bitten by the same snake. While dying from the snake bite, she asked, oh snake, why did you bite me after all I did for you? Then the snake replied, "when you picked me up didn't you know I was a snake?"

Posterity shall have on the right side of history, those of us that saw the handwriting on the wall :lamented, screamed and told you GEJ was a lesser evil but it fell on dearf ears. It fell on the ears of those that make judgement based on emotions (how the feel), not based on knowledge or factual evidence.

Having said that, had the weakest opposition party in history, PDP - except the likes of Femi Fani-Kayode, Gov. Fayose and by extension Gov. Nyesom Wike the only men with balls in PDP- written to all embassies, international bodies on the Gestapo style in which Shia leader and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu were abducted and how Buhari was flaunting court orders, including that of Dasuki, had the legislature strongly condemned the act in its entirety, the tyrant would have been curtailed and the tiger won't try to swallow them now.

Nevertheless, they decided to turn the other way with sealed lips because it was just an "ordinary citizen", little did they know tyrant Buhari was testing the waters to know the elasticity of their tolerance to his dictectoral nature in a democratic system.

I remember posting on my page that what happened to Kanu and co will definitely come back to hound them all and it's happening.

Anyway the world is like a stage with an entrance and exit, everyone come play their role and leave. Strong men like Hitler never thought power could slip from their hands but history has taught us that no matter how long it takes, the will of the people always prevail".
