FOR THE RECORD: PDP aside, Austin Dozie believes voting for other parties is not different from voting for Buhari in 2019

2019 is not far away, so you would expect more of what you are about to read below, or perhaps, something quite similar.

While commenting on Femi Fani-Kayode’s Facebook post, Austin Dozie, used the recently inconclusive Osun governorship election to pass his verdict on how he things 2019 would play out.

You can find his comment below;

How 432,489 protest votes that could have gone to the PDP in Osun were split by three parties:

PDP = 254,698

SDP =  128,049

ADP =    49,742

Total = 432, 489

vs

APC's 254, 345

Even if you subtract the 49,742 votes of the ADP and add them to APC, the PDP candidate would still have won by a wide margin.

Split votes turned what would have been a trouncing into a close contest that is "inconclusive".

The lessons for next year's presidential election:

1. Anybody who wants Buhari out in 2019 but decides to vote for any candidate that is not the PDP candidate will have voted for Buhari for a second term.

2. Anybody who refuses to vote in 2019 has voted for Buhari.

3. Note that no Buhari loyalist will vote for another candidate or abstain from voting next year.

4. The PDP or whichever candidate it picks for next year's presidential election may not be the ideal party/candidate, but only the PDP can beat Buhari/APC in 2019. And Buhari needs to be voted out for Nigeria to move forward and have some peace.

5. Any of the promising candidates that have emerged under different political platforms can be voted for after the Buhari affliction on Nigeria has been ended and Nigeria has been rescued from this government of cluelessness and clanishness.

There you go. Leave your comments behind on what you make of this.
