A resident of Abuja Sharaton told DAILY POST that, soldiers have brought more corpses at Abuja Sharaton where one of the victims an unidentified person, who was hired to work on a farm for an old lady in the area also fall victim.

“There is currently argument ongoing between the soldiers and the lady, as the soldiers are asking the lady to bury the corpse since he was hired to work for her. But the lady was insisting that she only hired him and did not know the whereabouts of the family, as such it is the responsibility of the soldiers to take the corpse to the hospital and look for his family,” he said.

It was also gathered that many of the farmers affected were hired workers and IDPs who were living at the Bakassi IDPs camp in Maiduguri, who are mostly from Monguno and other villages in northern Borno.
