Kaduna Crisis: Adara community breaks silence over death of their leader, says killers are enemies of humanity

The people of Adara community, whose paramount leader, HRH Dr. Maiwada Raphael Galadima, was kidnapped and later found dead in Kaduna State, have described those behind the cruel act as enemies of humanity and the Almighty.

The Adara people, through their national president, Adara Development Association, Awemi Dio Maisamari, in a statement said, “Words alone are not enough to express the past, present and future grief of the Adara nation and indeed other persons of goodwill over the frightening and agonizing events of this week within and outside our community.

“With heavy hearts, the leaders and elders of Adara community wish to sadly admit the gruesome killing of our Royal Father, HRH Dr. Maiwada Galadima (JP) by his abductors. This happened in the early hours of today Friday, October, 26, 2018 after the community did all that was humanly possible and met their demands.

“We are, however, comforted by the knowledge that those who bring evil, death and destruction are not enemies of Adara people but the enemies of humanity and indeed the Almighty.

“Fortunately, God is powerful enough to fight His enemies if only we are obedient to him by remaining true to our faith in the God of LOVE and FORGIVENESS.

“By so doing, the goodness of God will manifest abundantly even in the midst of the cruelty and wickedness of the increasingly confident agents of darkness.”

They, therefore, appealed to all and sundry to remain calm, prayerful and law-abiding.

“Let us refrain from negative, inciting, inflammatory or unwholesome speeches or posts on social media. Let us also cooperate with all relevant authorities and agencies concerned to ensure peace and tranquility in this period of mourning for our citizens and our Royal Father.

“We do not deny our rights to express our legitimate opinions, feelings and frustrations. But that must be done at the appropriate time, manner and place and to the appropriate authorities.

“Meanwhile, we are called upon to maintain a period and mood of mourning from now up until the burial of our Royal Father as shall be announced by our elders. Please note that anything done to the contrary will not be to the honour of the spirits of the departed no to the glory of our loving and merciful Almighty Father.

“May the souls of the departed rest in perfect peace. And may HE see us through this trying period, Amen. Please share as much as possible,” the Adara people said.
